Best-of-five sets, checkout on the doubles

Run your darts league like the oche

From the Super League pub night to the county final, BallOBall runs the whole darts season — 501 and 301 played out leg by leg into sets, every visit, 180, bust, and double-out checkout logged from the oche, a legs-won table that ranks the league correctly, and a fan page on the screen behind the board. Hand the marker a tablet and let the leg come down to tops.

One engine, tuned to Darts

The whole platform re-skins to Darts — labels, scoring, period structure, and brand accent all follow the sport.

  1. 01

    Legs are the score

A darts match is decided in legs and sets — 501 down to a double-out, race the legs to take the set, best-of-five sets to take the match. Tap a leg won and the legs count and the set move together, with the standings picking up the result once the match is marked final; every visit in between is logged for the play-by-play without touching the scoreline.

  2. 02

    Checkouts & bust detection

The marker logs each visit and the finishing double, while busts — going below two, leaving one, or missing the double — are caught and the visit reverts, so the remaining score is always right. A 170 big-fish finish and a tidy 40-out both land in the box score as checkouts.

  3. 03

    180s & high finishes

Tap the maximum three-treble-twenty 180 or the high checkout off a big number, and it rolls into the box score and the leaderboard. After the night, a player sees their 180 count and best finish across every leg — the numbers the pub league lives for.

  4. 04

A legs table, not a win grid

Played, Won, Lost, Win %, Legs For, Legs Against, and Leg Difference — sorted so the league ranks by matches won with leg difference as the tiebreak. A 3–0 whitewash and a 3–2 deciding-leg grind read differently in the standings, exactly as they should.

It really speaks the sport

A Darts console & table — not a spreadsheet

The scorekeeper buttons and the standings columns below are exactly what Darts gets — generated from the sport engine, not a generic grid.

The full Darts operation

From the first fixture to the broadcast scorebug — every surface your Darts league runs on, built in.

  • Pub leagues & knockouts

Run a multi-pub super league as a round-robin division, or a straight county knockout with the Tournaments module. Conflict detection warns when a team or a pub is double-booked; you assign the boards and the time slots, so two matches never get thrown on the same board at once.

  • Marker-first scoring

Big touch targets for every darts event — leg won, visit, checkout, bust, 180, high finish — driven from the oche by one tablet. Offline-tolerant for back-room boards with no signal, undo any visit, and every leg is pushed to the screen behind the board.

  • Oche overlays

A darts-themed scorebug with the sets-and-legs box (1–1, legs 2–1), the live remaining score, and a 180 ticker — one browser source into OBS for the county final on the screen behind the board. The marker drives the graphics; no separate operator.

  • League fan pages

Every league can publish a branded public page with live legs, the visit-by-visit feed, the standings, and a 180s-and-checkouts leaderboard. No login — players just open the page and follow the deciding leg.

Why operators switch

What Darts leagues get

  • Best-of-5

    Sets & legs, handled

Legs down to a double-out, sets won by racing the legs, best-of-five sets to take the match — built in. The period model follows darts, not a generic four-quarter clock, so the table never asks for a fourth quarter.

  • 501

    501 or 301, bust-safe

Whether the leg starts at 501 or 301, the double-out finish and bust detection run the same way — an illegal finish reverts the visit automatically, so the remaining score behind the board is never wrong.

  • 0

    Scribbled scoresheets

Replace the chalk scoreboard, the group chat, and the hand-tallied leg sheet with one tablet that scores, ranks the league, and runs the stream at once.
